TRANSPORT Volunteers use their own cars to take clients to medical appointments.
To a chemist or chiropodist. To visit a friend or a relative in hospital or nursing home in the area. To the local shops. For a drive in the surrounding countryside.
Moving a bed downstairs Turning a mattress Hanging curtains Clearing snow Emergency ironing One off gardening jobs We do not undertake regular jobs such as cleaning or preparing meals, or any jobs that involve physical contact with a client.
SHOPPING We take clients to their local shops and assist with finding articles and taking the shopping home. We call this escorted shopping.
We can collect a shopping list from a client and do their shopping for them.
